AIDA: Attention Interest Desire Action

Attention Interest Desire Action (AIDA) is the outdated steps a consumer goes through from the beginning of a purchase funnel all the way through to actually making their purchase. They start with noticing, then work through having interest, to decide they want it, and finally actually purchase it. Typically marketing focuses on guiding a consumer through each of these phases of the funnel, however, this has changed somewhat in the digital age.
